We are a Long Day care centre that educates and cares for 72 children a day.
At Cardiff Childcare we are committed to providing quality learning experiences that reflect the five outcomes communicated by the Early Years Learning Framework (DEEWR, 2009): 1) Children Have a Strong Sense of Identity; 2) Children are Connected with and Contribute to Their World; 3) Children Have a Strong Sense of Wellbeing; 4) Children are Confident and Involved Learners; 5) Children are Effective Communicators. Our learning environments reflect children’s ability to make choices based on their interests, and our educational programs are committed to supporting emergent play-based learning.
We acknowledge the Early Years Learning Framework’s fundamental components as Belonging, Being and Becoming. In experiencing belonging we want our children to have an understanding of where and with whom they belong, in experiencing being we recognise the significance of the here and now of children’s lives and in becoming we want our children to have the opportunity to learn and grow in the early years so as to participate fully and actively in society.
