Building Blocks Occupational Therapy was established in Hornsby in 2002
providing specialist paediatric Occupational Therapy services to children
aged 0-18 years.

The children we work with have a range of special needs
including developmental delays, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Sensory
Processing Disorders, handwriting difficulties, attention and behavioural
At Building Blocks Occupational Therapy we aim to improve the child’s
development so we can maximise their physical, social, emotional and
learning potential. We work closely with families and provide a holistic
family focused approach in order to gain the best outcomes for the children
we work with. We aim to make meaningful connections with children, their
families, and their teachers to enable the child to achieve their goals by
providing quality, innovative therapy services and resources.

We provide individual therapy services in either our clinic or on site
(schools, preschool or home) and also a wide range of group programs
including Social Skills Groups, Holiday Handwriting Groups, Preschool
Fine Motor, Pre-Writing and Food Play groups as well as specialist groups
for children with Restrictive diets.

Our Burdett Street practice is well resourced with three dedicated therapy
rooms in our conveniently located clinic. Our large Sensory Space was added to our service in 2013 and provides a large array of specialised suspended equipment and sensory based play materials.

At Building Blocks OT, we guarantee a professional and efficient service
with highly experienced clinicians. All therapists are registered with
AHPRA (the professional registration body) and undertake ongoing
professional development and supervision with senior clinicians.

We are approved service providers through Medicare, Helping Children With Autism and BetterStart Early Intervention (FaHCSIA) and always strive to seek any funding options available to families in
financial need. We are well supported by friendly, efficient and empathic administration staff who are integral in ensuring our client’s receive a top quality service.
