The Talbot Centre is a multidisciplinary mental health practice that provides a comprehensive range of health services for children, families, adolescents and adults. We are a collaborative care practice which means that we place a high value on working in partnership with other professionals also involved in our patient's care and in partnering with their wider support networks to ensure that they are able to generalise their improvements to all areas of their life. In this way we are able to provide a similar level of care as public services that have a full multi-disciplinary team in the same location, while providing more flexible options and shorter waiting times for patients.
The Talbot Centre is a leading service provider of health services for patients and families impacted by eating and feeding disorders (e.g., Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa etc) and obsessive compulsive disorders (e.g., OCD, Trichotillomania [hair pulling], Tic disorders etc). We also have an outreach service (via telephone and online communication) that allows us to make services more accessible to those who do not have access to expert treatment in their local area.
